Buck Hill was an outdoor events host for the St. Paul Winter Carnival during which Minnesota Governor Harold LeVander J.D. (1967-1971) received an impromptu ski lesson from global ski sensation Suzy Chaffee. Suzy is known for her influence in the creation of freestyle skiing and as the captain of the American Women’s Ski Team at the 1968 Grenoble, France Winter Olympics.
