Prince of Peace expansion 2018
Prince of Peace website 2018 provides this update: We’ve witnessed tons of dirt removed to create new basement space and the new 23,000 square foot addition on the east side of the Worship Center building. Basement footings and walls began mid-September along with the plumbing and electrical rough-ins for the basement. In October the drain tile was installed, basement slab was set and basement steel and precast have begun. The new elevator shaft has been placed for the oversized elevator that will accommodate up to six wheel chairs.

The interior of the former child care area and Community Room has been completely cleared, and some mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems have been removed to make way for new systems in completely redesigned space. This building section had a new roof installed in October. Some steel has been removed from this area, and new steel was delivered for the final demolition to be completed at the former “Door B” entrance.

Our construction project remains very close to schedule! We’re projecting the new addition to be enclosed by the end of January, when extensive interior work can begin. Anticipated final completion is Labor Day 2019.
