< PreviousDEDICATION One of the most significant pages of our yearbook is that of dedication. It is here that we, the members of the Kotka staff , speaking for the student body of Burnsville High School, attempt to publicly display our apprecia-tion and respect for a person who has been an outstanding influence upon the school life of Burnsville. There are many such people in our school and to select one was an ex-tremely difficult task. A man among this group who has helped to make Burnsville what it is today -- the man to whom we dedicate the 1964-65 Kotka is our principal, Mr. Robert Pomije. Mr. Pomije has always shown great respect for and a desire to under-stand the students of Burnsville. He has a keen awareness of the dignity of man and a strong sensitivity to others and their problems, their sorrows, and their joys. To you Mr. Pomije, we dedicate this years Kotka. 7 SCHOOL BOARD A MESSAGE TO THE SENIORS FROM MR. METCALF SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Just as there is a time to eat- -a time to sleep- -a time to pray- -a time to play--so, now, the next few years for you, is a time to continue your education. How you use the next four years will determine your success and happiness for the following forty years. This will be the success and happiness (or failure) for all people near and dear to you. You have done well in high school. Keep it up for just a short time. It pays big. I am glad that our paths have crossed. Because of your fairness and sensible attitude, it has been easy to love and respect you. This is far more true than you think. From the bottom of my heart comes a wish for your happiness and suc-cess. May God protect and keep you until we meet again. LEFT TO RIGHT: B. Williams, A . Betchwars M J · · calf, W. Smith L.
