What is BrainPower in a BackPack?


The Youth Service Program provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for students at Burnsville High School and helps them connect to the community and give something back.

BrainPower in a BackPack is a volunteer project in which high school students pack weekend food for elementary school students in ISD 191 who live in food insecure homes. Because academic performance is related to nutrition, the goal is to improve the student learning experience for children with the greatest need in ISD 191.
