Burnsville School News –
October 3, 1957

Burnsville School or Black Dog as it was dubbed by the students and teachers has some new teachers this year. Mr. Vatsaas, Mr. LeCroix and Mr. Nornes are new in the high school wing.

Friday, September 13, the Black Dog Braves played University High School. Their team won but our team were by no means poor losers. We also lost the game played with Chaska Friday, September 20. We have more games scheduled in the following weeks, the first being Shakopee on September 26.

The juniors have picked out their class rings and will receive them around Christmas.

The School colors are definitely black and gold.

Everyone is full of pep. We are settling back into school routines with thoughts of our carefree summers and looking forward to more fun in school and of the knowledge to be gained.

New friends and old are getting together to start another year which we hope will be most helpful and enjoyable.

Homecoming will be October 11, - Maria Berge – reporter.
